Von Teese: 'The British are kinky'

Dita Von Teese has claimed that the stereotype of sexually conservative Brits isn't true.

The former wife of Marilyn Manson revealed that she loves visiting the UK because of its burlesque history and argued that Britain as a nation is "quite kinky".

She told Highlife: "I love being in London because it has a great history of burlesque.

"One of the great pioneers at the turn of the last century was a group called Lydia Thompson And Her British Blondes.

"They were the first girls to wear fishnet tights and lift their skirts and, by all accounts, they were very sexy in their G-strings.

"The British are really quite kinky!"
