Clifford plays down Kerry Iceland axe rumours

Max Clifford has claimed that reports stating that Kerry Katona has been axed by Iceland are not true.

The reality TV star's PR has revealed that she still has one more ad to shoot for the supermarket firm before she enters talks about renewing her contract.

Clifford told the Mirror: "As far as I am aware Kerry is not being axed. She has one more ad to shoot and then I'm having talks with Iceland."

Reports had suggested that Katona may lose her job as the face of Iceland's advertising campaigns because of recent controversy surrounding her private life.

The supermarket's marketing director Nick Canning commented: "It is clear we have been hiring different staff including Jason Donovan and Coleen Nolan over Christmas.

"I'm not sure what contract we will be able to offer."
