Beckham in talks with Gordon Brown

David Beckham held a secret meeting with Prime Minister Gordon Brown last night about how he can help with his football training academy.

The football star was seen visiting 10 Downing Street on the same day that Brown claimed he had "no specific plans" to meet up with Beckham.

After his meeting Beckham confirmed that Brown would be visiting his academy this week in Greenwich, London.

Beckham said: "He is very interested in doing a lot for my academy and also getting involved in schools around the country.

"He's a very good man, you know. He's a man that's looking after our country and he is doing a very good job. I'm very proud to be here tonight."
