Rihanna likes to focus on friendship

Rihanna has admitted that she likes to be friends with potential love interests before starting a relationship.

The 19-year-old singer also revealed that her friendship with actor Josh Hartnett, 29, means a lot to her.

"It's good to be friends first. I don't find it too hard to talk to male pals," Rihanna explained. "When I hang out with Josh, it's lovely."

Rihanna denied claims that she is dating Hartnett in a magazine interview last month.
