Spears family denies Dr Phil row

Britney Spears' family have denied that they are unhappy with the behaviour of Dr Phil McGraw following his visit to see the singer in hospital last week.

Reports yesterday suggested that they were angered by the publicity McGraw generated by speaking out about Spears' health, viewing it as a breach of trust.

However, Britney's manager has responded to the allegations, insisting the family think McGraw is "really cool".

He also told Entertainment Tonight that it was the Spears family that suggested Britney appear on the Dr Phil TV show, rather than the programme's host.
