KT Tunstall announces engagement

KT Tunstall has announced that she will tie the knot with her long-term partner Luke Bullen in September.

The Scottish singer had a huge surprise when Bullen popped the question after arriving at the home of her adoptive parents on Christmas Day.

"So, 11 o'clock on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it's Luke suited and booted. With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed," Tunstall revealed.

"Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes. It feels smashing. Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I'm playing those chords."

Tunstall added that the wedding ceremony will take place in Scotland in September. "We're gonna do the deed way up in the wild North," she said.

She has been dating Luke, who plays in her backing band, since 2003.
