Bean cancels wedding at 24 hours' notice

Actor Sean Bean has cancelled his wedding to Georgina Sutcliffe at 24 hours' notice.

Bean, who has been married three times before, called off the event so late that a wedding cake and champagne were still sent to Brown's Hotel in Mayfair for the reception.

According to the Sheffield Star, friends of the actor were shocked by the late change of plan.

Bean's father, Brian, said: "I haven't managed to talk to Sean but I'll be having a word with him when he comes up for the Sheffield derby game this coming weekend. He's been working away a lot.

"I wasn't going down to the wedding anyway and I'm not sure what's happening."

Sutcliffe has denied there are any problems between the couple, insisting that they're just "shattered" from work commitments.

She said: "So what? We've just rescheduled because of personal issues and work commitments.

"Sean and I have just got back from Rome and I'm absolutely shattered. He's here with me at the moment. We had a wonderful holiday and we do intend getting married shortly."
