Dame Edna star told to rest by doctors

Dame Edna Everage creator Barry Humphries has been told to rest by doctors.

The Aussie comedian had his appendix removed in December, but complications with the surgery mean he can't return to work immediately.

Humphries has cancelled a US tour and an appearance at Glasgow's International Comedy Festival in March due to his ill health.

A festival spokesperson told The Mirror: "He's going in for more surgery this week."
