Paltrow taken to hospital in wheelchair

Gwyneth Paltrow was taken to a New York hospital in a wheelchair by husband Chris Martin on Monday.

The actress spent one night at Mount Sinai hospital before returning to her home to recover, according to The Mirror.

An eyewitness commented: "She was slumped over. She didn't look well."

Stephen Huvane, the Hollywood star's spokesman, refused to explain the visit, claiming it was a family matter.

He said: "We're not commenting as it is personal but Gwyneth is fine and at home."
