Emily Blunt slams 'jealous' rivals

Emily Blunt has hit out at Hollywood actresses who are jealous of her success.

The 24-year-old, who gets intimate with Tom Hanks in new film Charlie Wilson's War, said she is wary of girls who keep an eye on the progress of her career.

She said: "I'm not a big fan of watchful girls. I can spot women like that a mile off. Just a bit cool, watchful in that competitive, slightly envious way. Passive aggressive."

She added: "'Hey miss super-employed!' I have had that once. I'm like, 'F*** off!'"

But she said her most successful peers like Keira Knightley and The Devil Wears Prada co-star Anne Hathaway understand that they are competing for the same roles.

Talking about her rivals, she said: "Keira Knightley, or Rachel McAdams, or Amy Adams, who's my dear friend. Annie Hathaway. All of that lot.

"We go up against each other. But we know what the score is and if you just accept that you're competing it's fine."
