Report: Ike Turner died from overdose

A California medical examiner has ruled that Ike Turner died from a cocaine overdose.

The soul singer, who had been involved in several drug-related arrests, was found dead in his San Diego home on December 12.

Today's report revealed that Turner's body displayed signs of cardiovascular disease and emphysema, which had contributed to his death.

Chief Investigator Paul Parker told the Associated Press "We are listing that he abused cocaine, and that's what resulted in the cocaine toxicity."
