Here's the quick-fix Digital Spy rundown of the weekend's top tales...

While the US awards season may be in turmoil, British preparations, unhindered by any writers' strikes, are continuing apace. Reports on Sunday claimed Scarlett Johansson should be making an appearance at next month's Brits. And even - hopefully - singing one of the tunes from her upcoming record of Tom Waits covers (more).

Also in music comes the news, surely not unexpected, that record labels are keen to sign Kylie Minogue. Her current keeper EMI is planning cuts to its artists roster - possibly including, even, the pop princess (more).

Strictly Come Dancing stars Matt Di Angelo and Vincent Simone took their love-crossed disputes, along with the show itself, on tour this week. The row over subject-of-their-desire Flavia Cacace continued as the dancing moved off-screen (more).

And in the latest dispatch from Vietnam we hear things have got even worse for Gary Glitter. The former glam rock star, serving a three-year jail term for sexually abusing children, has now had a heart attack. He may use it as an excuse to get out early, fears one newspaper (more).
