Eddie Murphy split 'down to pre-nup'

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds split because they were unable to agree on a pre-nup, reports claim.

The couple announced their separation last week, just a fortnight after marrying on a private island off Bora Bora.

The wedding was later found to be invalid because they had not lived near the location for at least 30 days, but the pair decided not to repeat their vows in an official ceremony on US soil.

Sources claim Murphy was unhappy after Edmonds requested half his assets if they went their separate ways.

A friend of Edmonds told PageSix: "When it came down to the legal marriage, Tracey wouldn't sign a prenup."
