Winehouse visits drugs clinic after video

Amy Winehouse spent two hours at a drugs clinic after a video appearing to show her taking crack cocaine was posted on the internet.

The singer attended the weekly appointment in North-West London with her father Mitch as part of her ongoing treatment for drug addiction.

Metropolitan Police are to "assess" the footage, which appeared on The Sun's website yesterday.

It allegedly shows Winehouse inhaling from a crack pipe after binging on ecstasy, Valium and cocaine at her East London home last Friday.

Her father told the newspaper: “Your video of Amy taking drugs may well be the best thing that has ever happened to her.

“For all the hurt and pain, it may finally be the thing to focus her mind and convince her to get the help she needs to quit for good.”

Fans left messages on Winehouse's website pleading with her to get help after viewing the clip.
