Hilton: 'I've never been happier'

Paris Hilton has claimed that she has "never been happier" in her life.

The socialite - who served a 23-day jail term last June for violating the terms of her DUI probation - assured fans that her troubles are now in the past.

She wrote on her MySpace page: "Hey everyone! Hope you all had an amazing new year so far. I have, and I've never been happier."

She revealed that she was delighted with her starring role in new romantic comedy The Hottie And The Nottie, saying: "Last night we had the first screening of my movie in Dallas, Texas... It was so exciting to be watching it for the first time with a live audience and the response was incredible."

She added: "It made me so very happy and proud to be a part of such an amazing project."
