Schofield tops secret sex symbols poll
Phillip Schofield and Jonathan Ross have topped a poll to find the nation's most unlikely sex symbols.

Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson finished third in the survey of people women are embarrassed to admit they fancy.

Presenter Trevor McDonald, new England manager Fabio Capello and former Monty Python star Michael Palin also made it on to the list, along with Gordon Ramsay, Terry Wogan and Gary Lineker.

Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth, 79, completed the top ten.

An unimpressed Clarkson told The Sun: “So I beat a man who looks like Shrek (Capello), a man with ears the size of satellite dishes (Lineker), and a man who calls a spade a spade (Ramsay). Doesn’t say much."

5,000 female users of website DatingDirect.com answered a call to name their MISAs or 'Men I Secretly Adore'.

The Top Ten MISAs were:

1. Phillip Schofield
2. Jonathan Ross
3. Jeremy Clarkson
4. Fabio Capello
5. Trevor McDonald
6. Gordon Ramsay
7. Gary Lineker
8. Michael Palin
9. Terry Wogan
10. Bruce Forsyth
