Hudson backs McConaughey to be great dad

Kate Hudson has claimed that her Fool's Gold co-star Matthew McConaughey will be a great dad.

McConaughey revealed earlier this month that he was to become a father for the first time, and Hudson believes that despite his party guy image, he will cope well with being a parent.

She told People: "I think he will be an incredible dad. I think because people see Matthew always out doing something - whether dancing in a bar or on the beach or hiking with some crazy bandana - they take that image and just run with it.

"Matthew happens to be one of the most loving and loyal people I know and his family is important to him. He's great with kids and I think he'll be a very responsible and absolute blast of a dad."
