Julian Schnabel bears no hard feelings towards Sean Young after her drunken outburst during his acceptance speech at Saturday's Directors Guild Of America Awards.
The Blade Runner actress checked into a rehab clinic in California on Monday after heckling Schnabel as he received his gong for The Diving Bell and The Butterfly.
She reportedly yelled "Hurry up with the speech" and other taunts before being ejected from LA's Hyatt Regency Hotel by security guards.
But the filmmaker told USA Today that he was not bitter about the incident, saying: "It was fine. It was really fine. I'm sorry she got taken out of there.
"If I had a couple of minutes with her, I could have brought her up on stage and we could have worked it out."
