Spears 'claims mum slept with lover'

Britney Spears has claimed that her mother has been sleeping with her lover Adnan Ghalib, say reports.

The popstar, who was admitted to a psychiatric unit at LA's UCLA Medical Centre yesterday, was reportedly "hurling profanities" and accused her mum Lynne of "sleeping with my boyfriend".

US reports have said that Spears was on Adderall, a stimulant which is traditionally used to treat patients with Attention Deficit Disorder, when she was admitted.

Spears in now under 24-hour supervision at the UCLA and according to reports is not allowed to bathe unsupervised.

The singer was hospitalised on 5150 hold, which means her psychiatrist considers her a danger to herself and others.

An ex-patient at UCLA told X17 that the ward often sees fights breaking out between patients and that it is a "tough" environment to live in.

The source also claimed that Spears will be kept in the ward for 72 hours, and possibly 14 days if she is considered to still be dangerous.
