Former 'ER' star gives birth to son

Former ER star Julianna Margulies has given birth to her first child.

The actress announced that she was expecting a baby with lawyer husband Keith Lieberthal last August.

The couple, who married in Massachusetts in November, named their son Kieran Lindsay.

Lieberthal's father Kenneth told People: "Obviously I'm utterly delighted to be a grandfather. I have to say, he is cuter than any other baby I've seen.

"He's brought a lot of joy to the family. He has some of Keith's features and some of Julianna's features and they're changing everyday."

Margulies, 41, won an Emmy in 1995 for her role as Nurse Carol Hathaway in ER.
