Kirsten Dunst denies breakdown rumours

Kirsten Dunst has dismissed rumours that she is having a nervous breakdown, insisting that she is "fine".

Concerns were raised about the actress' mental state after she reportedly acted in an "erratic" manner at last week's Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

Her friends were forced to apologise on her behalf after she was rumoured to be behaving strangely during a brief appearance at the event.

PageSix quoted one pal as telling revellers: "Kirsten is not in a good place right now."

But a spokesperson denied the claims, saying: "[She] is fine."

It has been suggested that the 25-year-old is unhappy over ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal's relationship with Reese Witherspoon.

She recently announced that she is planning to design her own knitwear range.
