Edmondson 'took cocaine for a year'

Ade Edmondson has revealed that he stopped taking cocaine after a lecture from wife Jennifer Saunders.

The former Young Ones star, 51, said he spent a year taking drugs and drinking until 5am.

However, he decided to quit when Saunders told him he was "acting like a complete tit".

He told The Observer: "I was always the one who would get too drunk - there's a lamp-post in Soho I destroyed while drink-driving."

Edmondson, who also starred in Bottom and Holby City, married Saunders in 1985. The couple have three daughters and live in a 400-year-old farmhouse in Devon.
