Jolie rejects 'thin' compliments

Angelina Jolie has urged fans not to compliment her on her slim figure.

The actress claimed that she did not appreciate being praised for losing weight following the death of her mother last year.

She insisted that idolising thin celebrities was setting a bad example to young girls, saying: "People think it is a compliment to say to someone, 'You're thin'. But it really isn't.

"In fact, I like it better when people say I'm too thin. Then I think, 'Good, good, tell everyone and let it be a criticism.' I do not want to be too thin, because it's not healthy."

Jolie, 32, is rumoured to be expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt.
