Alba vows to talk to baby in Spanish

Pregnant actress Jessica Alba has vowed to talk to her new baby only in Spanish.

The 26-year-old is expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren in late spring and claimed she wants the new arrival to grow up with the language.

Alba's grandparents spoke Spanish but her dad urged her and her brother to stick to English so they would fit into American society.

She told Latina magazine that she is now trying to learn the language, saying: "Hopefully I can pick it up because I want my kids to speak Spanish. I don't even want them to speak English for maybe the first two to three years, until pre-school."

She added: "We're in the United States so they're going to learn it anyway."

Alba recently claimed that she was attacked by a ghost when she was a teenager.
