Bryan Ferry's son Otis has been cleared of criminal damage after trying to prevent paparazzi taking pictures of Sienna Miller.

The 25-year-old denied causing £700 worth of damage to the cars of two photographers who were following the actress as she left London nightclub Boujis last February.

Ferry, from Shrewsbury, admitted grabbing the ignition keys through the windows of the vehicles and throwing them to the ground.

He said he and brother Isaac, who was dating Miller at the time, had started to follow her home from the post-BAFTAs party in Isaac's Land Rover but had been blocked by photographers.

Miller told West London Magistrates' Court yesterday that she had felt "hunted" by the paparazzi and feared they wanted to find out where she lived.

She had been scheduled to appear at the trial in November but sent a text message saying she was filming in Mexico and would be unable to make it.

Judge David Simpson said the vehicles had not been damaged and described Ferry's behaviour as "the impetuous actions of a young man helping his brother's girlfriend".
