Prince Andrew meets Tom and Katie

Prince Andrew had a brush with Hollywood royalty on a recent trip to LA.

The 47-year-old Prince is currently on an official ten-day trade visit in LA where he bumped into Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at a party.

Prince Andrew smiled with delight as he shook Katie Holmes' hand at an event to open a new art gallery.

The Queen's son also mingled with other famous actors at the party, whose guests included Dustin Hoffman, Owen Wilson and Miami Vice's Don Johnson.

The Prince has had a busy week in the US after opening a supermarket in Compton, one of Los Angeles' most dangerous suburbs, on Thursday.
