It's seven whole months since we started handing out presents to our birthday boys and girls. Week after week, we've tried our best to add a little joy and sparkle to the lives of five deserving - and some frankly not so deserving! - stars. We'd be treating ourselves to a couple of weeks off around now if we weren't concerned about the effect withdrawing our services might have on the more troubled inhabitants of celebland. After all, the promise of a present from the UK's leading media and entertainment website may be the only thing getting some of them through the day.
John Travolta
How many candles? The hip-shakin' superstar is 54 today.
DS' birthday present: John says he's missed wearing a frock since Hairspray wrapped, so we booked him for a week's run in Aladdin in Skegness. He should feel right at home as Widow Twankey!
Rihanna
How many candles? The 'Umbrella' songstress turns 20 on Wednesday.
DS' birthday present: Much as we love Rihanna's new cropped hairdo, we can't help thinking that long fringe could get a tad annoying. So we nabbed her a year's supply of industrial-strength hair gel to stop it falling in her eyes every two minutes and driving her mad.

How many candles? The outspoken presenter is 46 on Thursday.
DS' birthday present: Van must be dying to clear the air with Wife Swap nemesis Paul Daniels, so we wangled her a one-off gig as his "lovely" assistant. Let's hope he doesn't get carried away when he's sawing her in half!
Charlotte Church
How many candles? The Welsh warbler celebrates her 22nd birthday on Thursday.
DS' birthday present: Charl's been pretty vocal about her disdain for the X Factor judges, so it's time she put her money where her mouth is and gave it a shot. We persuaded Simon Cowell to give her an audition so she can step in next time Shazzer storms off in a huff.

How many candles? The schmaltz-meister is 34 on Friday.
DS' birthday present: Being fought over by the likes of LiLo and Paris isn't great for James' image, so we sent him something that's guaranteed to put them off - a bottle of Calum Best's aftershave should be plopping through his letterbox any minute now.
