Holmes 'never received Valentine's card'

Katie Holmes has revealed that she never received a Valentine's card when she was at school.

The actress, who is married to Tom Cruise, said boys rarely looked her way when she was growing up.

She told The Mirror: "I went to an all-girls school and every Valentine's Day they would announce who had flowers in the office. My name was never called - never!"

Cruise recently said he was planning a romantic surprise for Holmes this year, adding: "I'm going to keep the details to myself but it's going to be fun."
