Steve Carell 'astounded' by success

The 45-year-old, who also plays obnoxious boss Michael Scott in the US version of The Office, admitted that he was surprised to find fame so late in his career.
He is quoted by MSN as saying: "It's pretty weird. On The Office, I play a huge jerk and in Anchorman, as broad as that was, I play an idiot savant. Why do people like me?
"I'm sort of astounded that there is this success. I try not to question it because I've been very lucky to have engendered that feeling."
However, he added that fans were usually polite when approaching him, saying: "More people know who I am but I don't think people treat me that differently.
"Anybody who recognises me or asks for an autograph or something is very nice. People are very kind about it. So it's never entered the realm of being intrusive or jerky."
