Actress Bai Ling arrested at airport

Actress Bai Ling has been arrested in Los Angeles, reports Sky Showbiz

The 37-year-old star of The Crow was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a gift shop at Los Angeles International Airport.

Jim Holcomb, a sergeant from the airport police said: "A private person's arrest was made by a store employee after Ling allegedly took two Star magazines along with two packs of AAA batteries totalling about $16 and left the store without paying."

Holcomb said the Chinese-born actress admitted to police officers that she hadn't paid for the items.

Commenting on reports that Bai Ling was crying, the sergeant added: "I suppose anybody would be upset, but she wasn't combative or anything like that."

The actress has been ordered to appear in court on March 5.
