Avril Lavigne "feels bad" for Britney

Avril Lavigne has criticised paparazzi photographers for their treatment of Britney Spears.

The singer revealed that she has struggled with intrusion from snappers in the past, but admitted that her experiences cannot compare to Britney's situation.

"No one else has it as hard as Britney. I feel bad for her," Avril told Maxim magazine. "How does she even think with all those flashbulbs?

"When I'm being followed, everything's thrown off. They run red lights. They cause accidents. She can't even walk to her car. F***ing stalkers."

Ewan McGregor has also recently expressed sympathy for Spears, admitting that the behaviour of the paparazzi makes him "feel sick".
