Shocking scenes axed from Katona show

A number of shocking scenes filmed for Kerry Katona's new reality TV show have been left on the cutting room floor, according to a report.

Katona invited MTV cameras to follow her every move for the "no-holds-barred" programme, which was billed as an opportunity for the former singer and her husband Mark Croft to "answer some of their harshest critics".

However, the News of the World claims that viewers will never get to see footage which would further damage Kerry's old reputation as a doting mother.

Show insiders have revealed that Katona has failed to cut down on her cigarette habit since discovering that she is pregnant for a fourth time, despite her insistence that she only smokes once or twice per day.

"She's still on 20 a day," a source told the newspaper. "In the early days the official word from [Kerry's PR] Max Clifford was that Kerry had one cigarette a day to calm her nerves. But all the time she would say, 'You have to turn the cameras off, I need to have a smoke.' I think it's appalling."

The MTV sources have also poured cold water on Kerry's claims that her marriage to Croft is a happy one.

"Kerry has got Mark's mobile. She's become convinced he's having an affair," an insider revealed. "Kerry knows he has been unfaithful to her but she sticks with him. He looks after her and she's looking to him for something - the type of thing you look to your parents for. It's not a normal relationship."
