Tunstall's mother not invited to wedding

KT Tunstall's birth mother will not be invited to her wedding.

The singer was adopted when she was 18 days old after being given up by Carol-Ann Orr.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Tunstall said: "My birth mum totally understands and she's great about it as are my parents.

"But I've spent 32 years with my family and I've spent seven years very, very slowly getting to know my biological mother so obviously my family is the priority.

"It's very difficult but my birth mother completely understands that."

Tunstall announced her engagement to Luke Bullen, her band's drummer, last year. Earlier reports indicated the singer had to delay her wedding in order to play the summer festivals.

"All the festivals are starting to confirm, so we'll work it out soon," said Tunstall.
