Dunst denies partying caused Jake split

Kirsten Dunst has denied rumours that her wild lifestyle was behind her split from Jake Gyllenhaal in 2005.

The actress checked into the Cirque Lodge rehab clinic in Utah earlier this month after being spotted "behaving erratically" during January's Sundance Film Festival.

Sources later claimed that Gyllenhaal had ended the couple's three-year relationship because he was "turned off by all the partying".

Reports also suggested that Dunst had increasingly turned to cocaine and alcohol in an attempt to get over the split.

However, her representative blasted the rumours as "downright wrong", adding: "She is not being treated for cocaine or any drug."

An insider previously told People that the death of actor Heath Ledger last month had been a factor in pushing the 25-year-old "over the edge".
