The pair have not agreed on a divorce settlement regarding custody of their daughter Beatrice and distribution of the ex-Beatles' fortune.
The settlement is expected to be the highest of its kind in a British court, with experts estimating that Mills could walk off with £60 million of McCartney's fortune.
The current payout record is held by Axis Capital businessman John Charman, who paid his ex-wife £48 million last year.
Nicolas Mostyn QC, who represented McCartney in court, confirmed that judgment was reserved on the hearing.
Mr Justice Bennett's judgment will be made in the next few weeks but any financial settlement will not be made public unless the case is taken to the Court of Appeal.
Reports indicate that McCartney was not present in court today as he was rehearsing for his performance at Wednesday's Brit Awards.
