Lohan poses as Marilyn Monroe

Actress Lindsay Lohan has recreated Marilyn Monroe's final photoshoot in the latest issue of New York Magazine.

Monroe posed nude for photographer Bert Stern in 1962, just six weeks before she died from an accidental overdose.

Stern also photographed Lohan's shoot and the 21-year-old actress admitted she was "comfortable" about being naked in front of the camera.

Lohan revealed she thought the death of Monroe at the age of 36, and that of Heath Ledger last month, is a warning to Hollywood stars.

"They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone," said Lohan.

The Mean Girls star, who has been in rehab three times, doesn't want to suffer the same fate as Ledger or Monroe.

"I'm not them. But I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me."
