Shields' mum hits out at busy daughter

Brooke Shields' mum has accused her of being too busy to spend time with her family.

Teri Shields said she hardly sees her daughter because she is always filming new US TV show Lipstick Jungle.

She also claimed that the actress is failing to give her adequate access to granddaughters Frances, four, and 22-month-old Grier Hammond.

She told the National Enquirer: "I don't see Brooke or my granddaughters much, and if they do come over, it's only for a little while and then they're gone.

"I wish I could see Brooke, but all she does is work. But [she] always makes time to visit her friends, no matter how busy she is."

Brooke tied the knot with TV writer Chris Henchy in 2001, two years after her marriage to tennis champion Andre Agassi was annulled.

But Teri accused Henchy of exerting an unhealthy influence on his wife, saying: "I'm often disappointed in [Brooke], like the times she snaps: 'What do you ever do for me?' That's what her husband tells her to say. I preferred her first husband over Chris."
