Eminem's publicist hits out at book reports

Eminem's publicist has hit out at reports that Orion is to release a book written by the rapper.

Dennis Dennehy said the publisher had been too quick in announcing the deal as the project was still in the early stages.

He told the Celebrity Truth website: "There is a book in the works from Eminem, in which he details certain aspects of his personal and professional life. [It] is still in the process of being written and edited."

He insisted that no release date had been confirmed, saying: "It's unfortunate that someone who does not have intimate knowledge of the [project] felt compelled to jump the gun on announcing it by delivering partial and inaccurate information."

The book is expected to hit shelves later this year.

Dennehy recently dismissed rumours that Eminem is poised to start a career in professional wrestling.
