Perry performed alongside Australian comedian Barry Humphries in various Dame Edna shows around the world between 1987-9.
The actress was 80 years old when she first worked on the Dame Edna Experience, which featured celebrity guests from the UK and Hollywood.
Madge Allsop's main purpose on the shows was to put up with barbed comments from the host and hand out name badges to the celebrity guests.
Speaking on her 100th birthday last year, she told the BBC: "You know, my memory's gone. I've been all around the world with Barry, and I can't remember a thing."
She also appeared in long-running BBC sitcom Last of the Summer Wine in 1995.
Perry retired in 2004, moving to Brinsworth House in Twickenham. Before finding fame on TV, she had run a children's dance school for 25 years.
