Jessica Simpson to marry Tony Romo?

Jessica Simpson is close to getting engaged to her boyfriend Tony Romo, reports Us Weekly.

Michael Starr, a close friend of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Romo, said: "I think they're going to get married."

Romo's former girlfriend, actress Sophia Bush, said: "I think they could go the distance. They're perfect for each other.

"They're both funny and wonderful and kind. I'm rooting for them."

Simpson's ex-husband Nick Lachey gave the couple his blessing, saying: “I wish her nothing but happiness. If she's found that... good for her."

Last month Simpson demanded an apology from an American magazine over claims she and Romo had split.
