Cage faces tax fraud allegations

National Treasure star Nicolas Cage is facing a hefty tax bill from the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) for writing off $3.3 million in personal expenses, reports Forbes.

Cage allegedly used his production company Saturn Productions to pay for "limos, meals, gifts, travel" and his Gulfstream jet.

The actor has filed a dispute against the personal IRS bill he received for $814,000 in penalties and the demand for $988,000 from his Saturn company.

Cage's manager Samuel J. Levin said these expenses were "customary in the entertainment industry" and required for the actor's "security needs".

Cage is suing actress Kathleen Turner for libel over comments she made in her autobiography Send Yourself Roses.
