Spears banned from pre-Oscar parties

Britney Spears has been banned from attending Hollywood's pre-Oscar parties, according to a report.

A number of special events are being organised by stars like Madonna, Prince and Elton John, but troubled Britney has been kept off everybody's invite lists due to her recent unpredictable behaviour.

"While Brit is certainly a name in Hollywood - it's for all the wrong reasons," a source told The Mirror. "She's a car crash waiting to happen and organisers don't want to take the risk of her showing up and creating a scene."

"The Hollywood fraternity are horrified that Brit's breakdown has been played out practically on their doorsteps," the insider added. "There's a great deal of sympathy for her, so the decision not to invite Brit is out of concern for her too."

Spears will soon be granted access to her two children again, after reaching an agreement with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The 80th Academy Awards will be held at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre tomorrow night.
