Winehouse plans to leave London

Amy Winehouse is hoping to put her troubled past behind her by leaving London.

The singer has told friends that she cannot bear to return to her flat in Bow, and she is planning to start a new life in Buckinghamshire instead.

"That flat holds too many bad memories for Amy," one pal told The Sun. "It's where she was filmed smoking crack and she wants to put that behind her."

The source added: "There is so much attention on her in London and it's all getting a bit much. She enjoyed it at first but she needs some space. She doesn't feel she can go out any more without the eyes of the city on her. And hopefully a move from London will also be a move away from temptation."

Amy's publicist has been forced to deny tabloid claims that she trashed a hotel room before attending Wednesday's Brit Awards.
