Police catch Snoop with marijuana

Snoop Dogg has been given a ticket by police in New York after he was caught in possession of marijuana.

The hip-hop star wasn't arrested for the incident, which occurred last Wednesday.

Dogg was caught with the drug outside a Manhattan club, according to the New York Post.

His lawyer Donald Etra claimed the rapper would be "contesting the ticket".

He releases new single 'Sensual Seduction' on March 24, which is taken from his ninth studio album Ego Trippin'.
