Gosling 'grew attached to sex doll'

Ryan Gosling has admitted that he developed a "close connection" with a sex doll while filming latest movie Lars And The Real Girl.

The actor plays gentle introvert Lars Lindstrom, who buys an anatomically-correct silicone doll on the internet and introduces her as his girlfriend Bianca.

He revealed that he was initially nervous about appearing opposite a plastic co-star as he would have to act for two.

However, he said his fears were unfounded, telling New York magazine: "But then I met her. She came to the read-through. I couldn't stop staring at her. I was fascinated. She had all these beautiful freckles on her face.

"She was endlessly fascinating to me. I got excited about all of our scenes together."

He added that he had taken her to live at his home when filming on the movie ended.

Gosling recently signed to star alongside Kirsten Dunst in 1980s drama All Good Things.
