Ditto, McCartney disagree over US Deep South
The Gossip's Beth Ditto recently experienced a difference of opinion with ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney over the Deep South of America.

Ditto spoke to McCartney, who picked up an Outstanding Contribution to Music award at last week's Brits, about her Arkansas home town.

"Paul McCartney... what is that all about?" Ditto is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.

"We shared a conversation about a tiny town in Arkansas where I’m from. He really liked the place. I hated it, as it’s full of hicks."

Ditto formed indie supergroup Crisis last year with Graham Coxon, Paul Weller and members of Babyshambles, The Smiths, The Enemy and Supergrass.

The group will perform together at the Camden Roundhouse on March 2 and release the single 'Consequences' soon after.
