Jamie Oliver has been given his big break on US TV by chatshow host Oprah Winfrey, reports the Daily Express.
Oliver and Winfrey are both judges on Oprah's Big Give, a reality show that awards money to contestants who come up with the most inventive ways to help others.
The show's executive producer Ellen Rakieten revealed that the 32-year-old TV chef has gone down well in rehearsals.
"He's very funny and adorable," Rakieten said.
Oliver first appeared on Winfrey's talk show five years ago but was embarrassed over his botched entrance.
"I was supposed to ride onto the set on my scooter but the studio floor was really polished and I soon came off the machine, flew into the air, landed on my chest and slid along the floor with my arms out in some kind of Superman pose, using my chin as a brake," said Oliver.
"I felt a complete idiot but the audience loved it, thought I did it on purpose and gave me a huge cheer."
