Popstar Boy George is due in court today accused of false imprisonment.

The singer, who rose to fame in the '80s fronting Culture Club, was arrested last April after he allegedly chained a male escort to a wall.

The 46-year-old, whose real name is George O'Dowd, will appear at a plea and case management hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

The singer recently admitted that Amy Winehouse had inspired him to start performing again.
