Julie Walters to be honoured with CBE

'Becoming Jane'

Julie Walters is to receive a CBE for services to drama.

The actress, 58, will be presented with the award by Prince Charles in recognition of her work in movies, theatre and TV.

She was nominated for an Oscar for her roles in Educating Rita and Billy Elliot, but is equally famous for her turn as Mrs Overall in Victoria Wood's Acorn Antiques.

Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson will be presented with an MBE and Spot the Dog creator Eric Hill will receive an OBE in the ceremony.
