Ferrell responds to 'worst autographer' poll

Will Ferrell has responded to being voted the worst autographer in Hollywood last year.

The comedian topped Autograph magazine's poll after being accused of snubbing fans who ask for his signature.

The magazine said: "What's so frustrating about Will being the worst autograph-signer this past year is that he used to be so nice to fans and collectors, and a great signer. What makes him so bad is that he'll taunt people asking for his autograph."

But Ferrell expressed surprise that he was included in the survey, saying: "I've never been on any list [before], positive or negative. I'm not perfect. I am happy to sign autographs, but if I'm with my family or I am in a hurry, then I don't."

The magazine named Johnny Depp the best celebrity autograph-signer for the third year running.

Ferrell won University College Dublin's James Joyce Award last month.
